Short Story accepted and ReadMe Publishing news

I received a note today that my short horror story was accepted for inclusion in a horror anthology by Library of Horror Press, the collection is called Tales from the Cauldron: A Witches Anthology. It was a fun write; I had never tried to write a horror story with a witch in it so happy to hear it was accepted. Looking forward to getting the book when it comes out later this year.

ReadMe Publishing has closed entry for new submissions to the Science Fiction Contest “What If” - We have had a ton of submissions for this and I think we are going to have a wonderful book when it is all done. This was the first contest where I used a judge to help with the selection process and I really think the overall feel and quality of the book will be amazing. The contest will be judged over this month and announcements coming in a few weeks about the winners. The book will be available in a few months.

Short Story Library reaches 250 subscribers

In May of 2008 I started the online magazine Short Story Library as a monthly ezine for short fiction and poetry. One year later we have grown to a weekly magazine that has a readership of 250 email subscribers that average 4,000 readers a month.I am really happy about the magazine and the progress we have made. We continue to receive some amazing submissions that allow us to be very selective in what we publish and I hope that the growing number of subscribers is a good sign we are doing something right.
