Two poetry acceptances with two venues
I had responses this week to two submissions I had sent out to Breadcrumb Scabs – a poetry magazine and the Boston Literary Magazine, both accepted the poems I had sent in. There really is a great feeling about seeing an acceptance of a poem. You work so hard to learn, read, practice and then still throw away most of what you produce as crap. It is nice now and again when an editor (or two in this case) enjoyed what you produced and plan to publish it.

The Boston Literary poem will be out in their fall issue which comes out any day now while the Breadcrumbs will be closer to the end of the year or early in 2010.
Horror Poetry Accepted – The Terror Of Miskatonic Falls
I had heard that Shroud Publishing was working on an anthology that was going to create a world using short poems. The world is Miskatonic Falls and they provided some details which you had to use as parts of your submission. I gave it a try and sent in a few poems and after a few months I just heard back I had one accepted. I am pretty excited about the collection I think these themed collections are always a fun read as so many people will have their hands in it and see the world just a little differently.
This was a paying market and contributor copies not to mention I have a great amount of respect for Shroud Publishing so just happy to have some of my work included in one of the productions. I am definitely looking forward to this getting released.
Short Story accepted and ReadMe Publishing news
I received a note today that my short horror story was accepted for inclusion in a horror anthology by Library of Horror Press, the collection is called Tales from the Cauldron: A Witches Anthology. It was a fun write; I had never tried to write a horror story with a witch in it so happy to hear it was accepted. Looking forward to getting the book when it comes out later this year.
ReadMe Publishing has closed entry for new submissions to the Science Fiction Contest “What If” - We have had a ton of submissions for this and I think we are going to have a wonderful book when it is all done. This was the first contest where I used a judge to help with the selection process and I really think the overall feel and quality of the book will be amazing. The contest will be judged over this month and announcements coming in a few weeks about the winners. The book will be available in a few months.
